MY RATING:

INSIDE COVER SUMMARY: My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I'm allergic to the world. I don't leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean, and wearing all black--black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can't predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It's almost certainly going to be a disaster.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Oh, this book. I'm not really sure where to begin with it. It's been a very long time since I've given a book a 5 star rating. I only reserve those for my absolute favorites, and Everything, Everything has made it into that group. I had been wanting to read this one since I first heard about it. The only thing that I knew about it was that it was about a girl who was, essentially, allergic to the world and it had gotten some great reviews. I love books where people are shut off from the world or from other types of communities that would be considered "normal" so I knew I had to read this.

To play off the title of the book, this book was everything. I loved it so much.. I loved the story line and how the romance between the two main characters developed. And then, there was the twist. I wasn't expecting it and was pretty shocked. I also loved the resolution at the end of the book and the sketched pictures that were thrown in every once in a while were nice too.

CHARACTERS: I loved the interaction between pretty much all of the characters. I thought that Olly and Madeline has a really sweet, cute relationship. The relationship between Madeline and her mom was nice as well, I loved how close they were. And the relationship between Madeline and her nurse, Carla was really nice as well.

COVER: The cover is really pretty. I love all of the colors that pop on the white background.
